What is a Seed Library?
- A Seed Library is a FREE resource for Plainedge cardholders.
- A seed library helps both new and seasoned gardeners begin and/or add to their gardens.
- Experience is not necessary to begin planting; all a person needs is a valid library card and the desire to plant.
What are the benefits of a seed library?
- It’s FREE to Plainedge library card holders, so it saves you money.
- It helps people get outside or bring some of the outdoors inside.
-It provides patrons with a sense of pride and a sense of accomplishment, knowing they grew something with their own two hands.
How does it work?
- Patrons present their Plainedge Library card at the reference desk.
- You can choose up to 5 packets of seeds per month.
- The seed packets are available at the Reference Desk.
- Packets are available as long as supplies last.
